Calhoun Christian School

We made it to DC and got settled in. We’re excited for the week and ready to jump into ministry tomorrow! 

Martha’s Table is an amazing organization in DC that aims to feed, clothe, and educate those less fortunate in the area. We had a great time meeting guests there and helping with their groceries. We are excited to come back on Wednesday! 

Since we split into two groups, half of us served with Seabury while the other half went on a prayer walk. We mowed, pruned, and weeded an elderly person’s front and back yard, and made friends from another ministry as we went. 

We all got the opportunity to go prayer walking along the National Mall! We started at David’s Tent, which is a 24/7 worship tent right on the Mall, in order to check it out and to set the tone and our hearts for the prayer walking we would do next. 

We were greeted by David’s Tent staff upon our arrival and got to talk, pray, and worship with the them. It was so powerful, and we are so grateful for the experience and the time of worship!

After a full day of ministry, we headed to the National Mall and discussed our day. We worshiped together and talked about how the Lord is moving through us during this trip. 

Kid Konnection uses storyboards to teach life lessons to kids in a way they can understand. Today we worked hard on sorting out the picture cards so that they can be reorganized and used to the best extent. 

We split into two groups again, and this time the group that previously served at Martha’s Table was able to serve with Seabury. We cleared up two different yards and were able to meet the thankful homeowners.
