Football on the Beach
Submitted by: Eric Richardson
In Grambouchi, Haiti the teams plays American football on the beach with the kids. They kids loved learning about the American sport from watching Facing the Giants the night before with the whole community.

A New Beginning
Submitted by: Alexis
This family was in a village in Haiti and deeply devastated by the earthquakes. We set up a large camping tent for them, replacing the tattered tarp held up by sticks. The father of ten children told me that he and the mother were waiting to get married until they had a home for their family. Now they were able to. These are a few of their children.

Watermelon Surprise!
Submitted by: Lonnie Dittrick
This little girl at Life is Hope "A" was enjoying a surprise treat of watermelon delivered by our mission team (along with Mango and Sugarcane). They were so excited that the kids danced around the yard when they found out. I might say they proved experts at extracting every morsel from the rind.

Laying the Stone
Submitted by: Debbie Lambert
Helping to build a church wall in Gressier, Haiti. It was such an awesome experience to work with the local people who trusted us enough to lay hands on the Church they were building - and sharing in the Spirit of the community

Bonding in Bwadjout
Submitted by: Tracy (Patil) Bruck
This is the final day we worked in Bwadjout at Pastor Junior's church. Forward Community Church made amazing friends with Forks of the Elkhorn Baptist Church that week. God sent two church groups from Kentucky to work in Haiti at the same time on the same team. The community where we worked had not had any aid teams there to work since the earthquake so we were the first. There was definite excitement from all of us and some nervous anxiety as well. You can see in the picture that in three days the tryst between the two churches and the men, women and children of Bwadjout grew to something we couldn't have imagined. As I told Pastor Junior that day, we gained more emotionally than we could have possible given to them in physical work. Our bodies left Bwadjout that day, but our hearts remain. We can't wait to get back in July 2013

Rainbows and Buterflies
Submitted by: scott Marcle
During a recent trip to Belize our afternoon program got delayed due to a Hurricane. So we moved the bunk bed ministry indoor and started to decorate them as we always do. Well this lead to some in prompt to face painting. The kids loved it.

Beauties
Submitted by: Caroline Caver
For our trip to Haiti this summer, we were blessed by our church to be able to bring suitcases full of new dresses for the precious girls at Life is Hope orphanage. As you can see in the photo, their faces instantaneously lit up when they put their brand new dresses on. And of course we had to do a fashion show! Smiles were always contagious at the orphanage, but I think that was even more true on this day. Trè bèl!!

Life is Hope!!
Submitted by: John Michael McGreevey
On my last day in Haiti this past summer, my group and I went to Life is Hope Orphanage. These kids were so loving, and so hungry for love, they wanted nothing less than to just sit on your lap and be held.

Chillin with the Girls
Submitted by: Kaitlyn Helder
I went to Belize last summer on a mission trip and we held a VBS at one of the churches. These two girls came and after the week was over they asked if I would be coming back. My heart broke for them and I will never forget that moment with them... :)

Get Rid of the Junk
Submitted by: Jennie Osterholt
As we serve, sometimes we get to slow down long enough to hear God and think about our lives and our day to day choices in a new way. Something simple like picking up trash reminds me to get rid of the junk that clutters up my life and keeps the best parts of me hidden and busy. On mission trips or wherever you are--let God's beautiful creation show through--Not just in nature, but in YOU!

my passion
Submitted by: Tony Luparello
Of all the things we do on a mission trip, none is more special to me than the opportunity to share the the greatest story of all time with kids.

The Little Things
Submitted by: Amanda Buda
This picture was taken during a recreation time during vacation bible school. In that moment I was reminded that being missional doesn't always mean doing the biggest and most impressive thing. Sometimes it is simply sitting down to read with a kid.

True Beauty
Submitted by: Denny Meints
We were working in the village of La Democracia painting houses for the congregation of the church. The lady who's house we were painting in this picture was so thrilled to have her house be one consistent color finally, though many of the group complimented her on how beautiful and unique her home looked in its rainbow-ish splendor.

Reading the Word
Submitted by: Sarah Petrich
A few of my friends and I were able to read the Bible in English and in Spanish while I was visiting the DR! Glory to God!

Beautiful Silence
Submitted by: Bethany Richardson
In Les Cayes Haiti we were building a home for a woman who had 9 children and a house of 10 square feet. I snapped this photo of our team's mason working alongside the Haitian men. It was inspiring to watch them work so closely, completing difficult work, with out saying a word. The language barrier wasn't a problem for these men as they settled into silence for the day. Laying the first row of block is a serious job as it sets the foundation for the whole home. The Haitains who are very skilled laborers, were blown away by the American who came to serve alongside them (silently). Not to judge, bark orders or show the "right" way. The silence meant respect and the respect was beautiful.

HCO Calm
Submitted by: Bethany Richardson
While living at HCO for 4 months, I began to love the quiet calm of the boys in the early afternoon. After school and homework were finished, but before playtime began the air was still for about 20 minutes. I wanted to capture it. I took countless photos, but I feel like this one captures it best. Content, happy and calm. Rackelson and Michele, aren't they beautiful?

Give Love
Submitted by: Erin Aili
This photo was taken during a mission trip to Belize. It's a great reminder to me of a quote by Mother Teresa, "We can do no great things--only small things with great love".

Church Rebuilding
Submitted by: Jason Swartz
In 2007, a hurricane ripped through the Mexico's Yucatan and destroyed many buildings. In 2012, many churches are still taking down old buildings and praying to rebuild new ones. Not many, if any, mission teams served in this area full of ministry opportunities. PPM brought the first short term mission team to this village for a week long trip to help rebuild, minister to children and women, and share in evangelism services. There is much more need here!

Rainy Church Night
Submitted by: Mike Korth
Even though it was raining, and the church in San Pedro, Belize has no roof, it didn't stop the congregation from meeting or the group from Advent Presbyterian Church from leading either
