Families are broken, alcoholism is a prevelant and significant issue, and people need Christ. With these struggles, there is also much hope. The Dominican Republic is beautiful with opportunties ranging from tourism, to industry, to farming. Proud of their country and where they come from, Dominicans are resilient, resourceful, and determined. They take deep pride in the many Dominican baseball players who have made a name for their country. But their real hope is in Christ. The church in the Dominican Republic is passionate, but needs encouragement. Many opportunties for ministry are available for the willing mission team. Outreach ministry, children’s ministry, service ministry, mercy ministry, and sports ministry are all opportunities that teams can take part in.
