Anxious Waiting!
by Lauren June 16, 2012 at 10:11 AM The PPM staffers are hanging at the Global Village Hotel anxiously awaiting the safe arrival of the team members from Hibben United Methodist Church, as well as Tom & Diana Boyd and Tracy & Dan Cross. Once they get here, we'll grab a BBQ lunch and go meet the Galilee Baptist church family. Please be praying for a great first day of ministry in Belize and keep checking back over the next week for updates!
First Day Success!
by Staff June 16, 2012 at 10:10 PM After a safe flight and landing here in Belize we were off! We traveled to Eustace's BBQ stand to have a delicious meal. Despite the rain we had a wonderful time. While waiting for the rest of our group to arrive we settled into our rooms and got a slight rest. Then we headed off to Galilee Baptist for home visits around the community. We invited the people to the sports ministry, the dental clinic, and women's ministry. We ended the evening with some fellowship with the people of the church, headed back to the hotel for our meeting and headed to bed to get some well deserved rest before our Sunday service. Thank you for all our prayers and thoughts! Love to all!

Let us worship the Lord!
by Staff June 17, 2012 at 11:02 PM We had a wonderful day worshiping the Lord with our friends at Galilee Baptist Church. We got to church bright and early and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday School lesson about Joshua and then celebrated our life in Christ through a message about not conforming to the ways of this world but standing out for God from Pastor Ruperto. After Church we headed over to Dorothy Menzie's Children's Home and spent a couple hours playing with the children and showing them the love which Christ has given us. We finished the evening off with another amazing and God-filled Church service with the congregation of Galilee Baptist. We are looking forward to our first official day of construction, sports ministry, women's ministry, and the dental clinic tomorrow. Please continue to pray for us as we continue to use the gifts and talents that God has given us to reach out to the people of Belize. Praise be to God!

Long Time No Post...by Ryan June 20, 2012 at 10:44 PM It has been a few days since our last trip journal. I know you must be thinking that we are just plain lazy or living on Island time, but the internet has been something of a hindrance. So if you don’t mind, I’m going to catch you up on our last two days. Yesterday we got to visit the Mayan ruins of Altun Ha in the morning. The Hibben group got to learn about the ruins and even climb on top of them. In the afternoon, we continued to work on a fence for the back of the Galilee Baptist Church and saw more patients at the dental clinic. The evening included the usual sport’s and women’s ministries. God has been doing some amazing things with the women who have been coming to the ministry and we are excited to see what he’ll do with our last day tomorrow.
Just Another Day in Belizeby Ryan June 20, 2012 at 10:47 PM For today, we woke up bright and early just so that we could have our bus driver, Thomas, give us a tour of the south side of Belize City. Upon arrival at the church, we continued to lay foundation for the home we are building which actually was completed. The dentists and accompanying crew were able to meet a lot of really great people today as they were cleaning teeth and pulling them. This included a WW2 veteran who had some work done in the morning. Later on in the evening came the sports and women’s ministries. For the sports ministry, we got to divide up into two teams and play a US vs. Belize soccer match of which the children had a lot of fun. Tonight was also our night to cook and visit the homes of a few church members from Galilee Baptist. The supper ministry spurred the team to search above and beyond themselves to minister to people in need. This included serving a spaghetti dinner to 3 different families. We were glad to be able to serve as a reminder to those families that God takes care of his children. Our last event of the evening was a prayer service in which Pastor Roberto led us to pray for the community here and the need for hope and faith in our lives as well as the lives of his church members.

Until we meet again...
by Staff June 22, 2012 at 08:52 AM 219. 4 and 1. 60+. 15. What are all these numbers you ask? These are the numbers that surrounded our last day of ministry here in Belize. 219 represents the number of patients that were helped through the dental clinic. A huge increase from last year, Praise God! 4 and 1 represent the work that was completed on Sherlette's house. The construction crew was able to put up the frames for all 4 walls and for the roof. What a wonderful ministry and blessing that is for her family! 60+ stands for the number of children that were blessed through the sports ministry yesterday and were able to experience a fun time in the park with us. Last but not least, 15 is the number of women who were helped through the women's ministry and were able to connect with the women from our team in a way that reassures us that we are all one in Christ. God certainly did some amazing things during our last day working at Galilee Baptist and we were so blessed by everything that happened. As we look forward to our day of relaxation and fun on Caye Caulker we realize that it is not "Goodbye" to the people of Galilee Baptist but a simple "See You Later" and so we say "Until We Meet Again!"

6 of us had a great time walking and sharing flyers and greetings for The Table on Saturday. Please keep those in prayer, that God will send to the gathering lunch, and allow Him to use Hibben as another beacon for Him, in the greater Mount Pleasant area.

Linda YaegerWe are enjoying the updates. Sounds like all is well. We miss you very much, Jordan. We know you are having wonderful experiences and learning alot. So proud of you and what you are doing there in Belize. Things here are fine. We saw Wes the other day, and he says to say hi. Love and prayers!!!
Jennifer RhyneHow wonderful you all were able to do so much in the dental clinic today. That reminds me if something. Have you heard the story about the starfish? A man was throwing a live starfish back in the ocean to live. Someone asked why would he bother to do that because there are so many starfish that he couldn't possibly make a difference. The man explained that he did it because he "made a difference to that one.". That's what y'all are doing.
On another note- Sumter got cornered in the yard around 10 tonight by a huge possum. I thought it was a raccoon. They were making all kinds of noise. Had the neighbor come over and take care of that- he was pretty excited about it. No worries, we are doing great!
Enjoy making a difference.
