Hey, everyone! We are here!

Our flight was right on time and everything has gone quite smoothly thus far. Thank you for all your prayers for safety and well being. We ate barbecue at the park this afternoon and had a training on relationships before heading to the Youth Hostel outside of Belize City. We will be heading South this evening and will get settled in and prepared for church tomorrow morning.
Please continue to check back and pray for all of the ministry we will be doing in and around Independence this week.

We are finally in Independence and got settled in, and are awaiting the days to come just so that we may see Gods mission unfold infront of our eyes.
Church service was a blast, we lead the worship service and felt the presence of God throughout the entire day. We also had the opportunity of leading the sunday school classes, just sharing Gods word and ministering to the members of the church. In the afternoon we went out and talked to the villagers and shared the gospel with them as well as getting to know more about them. Finally we went back to church and fellowshipped once again at the church.

Keep us in your prayers as we seek more of Gods presence.

Ministry is in full swing!

We had 120 kids at VBS yesterday. We are pouring cement in two locations this week. Our medical/mercy team has already fitted a couple of hearing aids and is off in Monkey River helping people there now. The church is painted. Cement mixers are rolling. Belize is good. God is great.

Despite a few issues with the heat, we are pulling together and getting a lot done to wrap up our week here in Independence.

Construction:
The basketball court was poured out yesterday and is mostly dry. We leveled off the ground for the addition on the back of the church and poured most of the floor today. The parsonage has been painted.

Vacation Bible School:
VBS has had over 100 children in attendance daily. Kids from all over the village have come out to learn about God and learn about us. It's encouraging and a delight to have these children here every afternoon.

Medical/Mercy:
We are out in the villages this week running hearing tests and fitting folks with hearing aids. We have also been blessed to break out into groups to visit homes throughout the communities while visiting with those who are waiting for screenings from our nurses, or consultations with our doctors.
