The Pelicans have landed!
by Staff July 1, 2012 at 04:19 PM The team has arrived safe and sound here in Belize. Although it was rainy when they got here, the weather cleared and we were able to enjoy a delicious barbeque lunch at a local stand and then headed off towards Hattieville where we spent an hour playing some basketball and talking with the youth at the youth hostel there. It was another 2 hour drive until we got to our destination of Hope Creek. After another wonderful meal provided by our cook, Madeline, we settled into our 5 star accommodations at the local school and enjoyed a peaceful night's rest. We thank you for all your prayers and look forward to updating you and sharing our experience with you in person upon our return. Thank you again and God Bless!

The day of the Lord.
by Staff July 1, 2012 at 04:32 PM Today we celebrated with the Hope Creek AOG church and had a wonderful time celebrating our God together and basking in his love. After church, the team headed out into the community to do some home visits and prayer walking. They invited the children to VBS tomorrow through Wednesday and the community to tonight's worship time. It has been an amazing first day here in Belize and we are so thankful that God has chosen us to be a part of his ministry and the building of his kingdom.
God's Plans are Bigger Still!by Staff July 3, 2012 at 07:55 PM Yesterday (Monday) was a great day of ministry, even if things did not go as planned. The day started off wonderfully with 50+ children attending our VBS in the morning. We played games, did some Bible stories, had plenty of songs and some crafts. The team was amazing moving the children from station to station while entertaining them along the way. What a great way to begin the day. The afternoon had some hiccups as the materials, tools, and people to help did not show up as planned. That did not stop us however from going out and picking up trash as a service to the community and running around looking for tools, etc. elsewhere. We were finally able to get a few things done and look forward to getting as much as possible done on Wednesday. God has truly blessed us thus far and we know that even if the devil tries to hinder our plans, nothing takes our God by surprise and he will ultimately win! Praise God!

Coming Home.
by Staff July 6, 2012 at 12:40 PM We dropped the team off at the airport this morning and they are well on their way home safe and sound. They had an absolutely gorgeous and wonderful day at Caye Caulker yesterday where they enjoyed snorkeling and spending some free time roaming and exploring the island. We finished off the day with dinner at Marin's Restaurant and then relaxing on the beach. We are so thankful and astounded that God would make such a beautiful place to enjoy. We thank you all for your support and your encouragement this week and we look forward to seeing you soon!
