The team isn't quite here yet, but we are anxiously awaiting their arrival. They should arrive this afternoon and we will all make our way North to Caledonia and settle in to our home for the week. Please check back soon for updates on the trip!

Despite the weather, we made it! We are currently on our way to Caledonia where we will spend the week ministering alongside the villagers who call it home. We are SO excited! Please continue to pray for us as we travel today.

After getting into town last night, the guys and the gals split up into two different groups and settled into our homes for the week - members of the congregation gave up their houses for the week so that our group could stay in the village. After a rainy night, we woke this morning and got our fancy clothes on for church. We have worship this morning, and this evening, and we plan on visiting some homes this afternoon to get to know the community and to be sure folks know that we have a VBS going on this week.

Our group has gotten a lot done in the last couple of days. Thank you all for your prayers and for keeping an eye on what we are doing while we are away.
Yesterday we started work on the roof. We had many people at the church to help. We were able to get one half of the roof on yesterday, and should complete the second half today.
Our first session of Vacation Bible School took place yesterday. We had well over 100 children come to the church to participate. We also had the opportunity to join up with the village youth last night for fun and conversation.
We are touring the Mayan Ruins right now and will be sure to take plenty of pictures for everyone. We are also looking forward to the work to be done this afternoon. Please continue to pray for our ministry in Caledonia over the next day and a half.

Today we had an opportunity to minister in the village school. We broke the school out into three groups and sang songs, told stories, and played games. It was a fun way to minister to the children in the village.
We wrapped up some painting and a cleaning project and then hosted a whole slew of children for VBS.
Last night was our closing service - it was difficult to say goodbye. We have loved our time in Caledonia. It will always be in our hearts.
