We Made It!
by Jen Schak July 13, 2008 at 02:22 PM We are so happy to be in Jamaica! Our flight was slightly delayed and it took us a while to get through the Jamaican airport but, as soon as our boxes of Christian literature made it through security, we were off on our journey. Our bus driver showed us the "Hip Strip" in Montego Bay and taught us how to say "Ya Man" and "No Problem". We settled in at Sudbury Church, our home base and sleeping courters for the week. Saturday night we enjoyed a Jamaican dinner and led the entire team in worship. We slept well and discovered we don't need alarm clocks in the morning, we have roosters to wake us up!

Serving Begins!
by Jen Schak July 14, 2008 at 03:52 PM Today we enjoyed our first day of vacation bible school at Somerton Church. The kids were great! We introduced them to Mr. Gorilla, sang worship songs and played games. They also enjoyed all of the bibles we donated. The Jamaican women fed us and all the kids delicious curried chicken for lunch. After lunch we went out into the community and invited the people we met to join us for VBS for the rest of the week. Then back to Sudbury Church where we learned how to mix cement by hand. It is not easy! We used the cement to start construction on a wall for the Church. Thank you for your support and prayers!
Hello!by Jen Schak July 15, 2008 at 02:02 PM Hello! We are doing great in Jamaica man. Last night we had a great worship service with the team; members from all three groups sang and participated in music. Today we continued vacation bible school with more kids than we had the day before. We had the chance to try locally grown fruit including: ginips, sugar cane and mangos. Everyone has been working hard on the wall at Sudbury Church. Tonight we are going to an infirmary and orphanage for mercy ministry. God is doing amazing things through us! Please continue to have us in your prayers.
God Can Do Great Things!
by 29675140 July 16, 2008 at 03:03 PM God is doing great things! We went door to door singing worship songs, praying and spreading the word of God. Praying over and with the people we meet has been an amazing experience. Our vacation bible school is still growing with more and more children each and everyday. They are so loving and open to hearing about Jesus. Yesterday we had the privilege of attending the infirmary. Many of the men and women were so excited to have visitors and so moved by God that they starting singing, as loud as they could, praising the Lord. It was amazing! Find out more about our trips to
