We went to Sunday school at the Evangelical Philadelphia Church this morning. This is the church we will be working with this week. Many of the youth from St. Mark’s gave testimonies and read prayers and Ms. Kim gave a sermon and then we had a lovely lunch at the church. We were able to go on neighborhood visits and reach out to the community to invite them to come to church that night and to VBS for the rest of the week. We also had a very fun sports ministry in the neighborhood. We played soccer, colored, and flew kites. Then had another service at the church that night.

Today was another great day of mission work! This morning we had a break and went to a Mayan site!! The group hiked a mile up a pretty steep hill, once they reached the top of the hill they were able to explore site, Xunantunich. The tallest site was 500 feet to climb!! We were even able to shop in some of the shops and go out to lunch!

After lunch we headed straight to our work site where we worked on painting a home in the neighborhood and the pastor’s house! The group worked hard even though it was rather warm out today! We had another great turn out for VBS! Our theme was “God loves us all the time.” We made sheep out of cotton balls and clothes pins. There was also a time for songs, snacks, and games!!

What great profit you gain from God when you are generous! You give a coin and receive a kingdom; you give bread from wheat and receive the Bread of Life; you give a transitory good and receive an everlasting one. You will receive it back, a hundred times more than you offered.- St. Thomas of Villanova (love to Logan) Grandma

Hope you're enjoying a beautiful day there! One of my favorites,"Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about. Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you." Phil 4:8-9 Thinking lovely thoughts of you Wade! Praying for you all!

1 Peter 4:10-11 "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve with whatever gift each of you have received. Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To Him belong the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen

Diana
