Today the PPM staff and church members have been working on the last minute logistics as we await the 1:30 AM Sunday Morning arrival of the Weaverville Team. Tomorrow we will be taking part in Sunday School and a church service. The church service will end in a time of lunch and fellowship. We look forward to our time together tomorrow.
We continue to pray for a safe flight tonight for the Weaverville team and for the great week in store for us in Puerto Rico!

Today started with a church service. Everyone greeted us so warmly! A few of our team members shared music with the congregation and had a great time singing. After the service, we have a luncheon with our new friends and had a great time getting to know one another!

"Carolina Beach"

This afternoon we went to the beach ('playa' in Spanish) and had a bit of fun in the sun. Some of us even had the opportunity to invite a few kids to VBS.

Today was our first of four days of VBS. We had a great turnout and enjoyed interacting with all the children!

What could be more fun that swinging with a new friend?!

This afternoon we had the opportunity to take a bus to inner San Juan to feed homeless under a bridge.

The Lord taught us alot as we handed out food and talked to the homeless. A few of our team members put together bags that included a few treats and a Bible verse.

Here is a picture of the team and a few men we met while in inner San Juan. It was a huge blessing for us to be able to build relationships with them. They are in our prayers as we continue our time here in Puerto Rico.

Our team was so thankful for the opportunity to serve. We will never forget our experience.

We ended our day with a little birthday celebration for Mama Sheila! We are so thankful for her and the role she has played on this trip. We love you!!

What another great day of VBS! The morning off with a few games. We had a wonderful time with the kids!

During craft time we made something called "God's Eye." It is a reminder of God's faithfulness and love every day. We can know that He is looking out for us and trust that He will never abandon us - an awesome promise we were able to share with the kids!

Today we also had the opportunity to start painting the church. Before painting, we spent time scraping old paint away and taping the edges of the church.

After prepping, it was time to paint! From yellow to blue, the church is looking great. We are excited to continue painting tomorrow!

After VBS and painting we headed to Old San Juan. We learned a lot about the history of Puerto Rico and were excited to explore! Here is a picture of one of the views we enjoyed.

The view is breathtaking! Looking at the ocean, we are reminded of how awesome our God is and how His creation reflects His beauty.

Today was filled with many happy things. From VBS to painting and the beautiful scenery at Old San Juan, we are truly blessed to be serving in Puerto Rico. The Lord is doing many great things in our hearts and we are humbled to be a part of His plan for this city. Greater things are yet to come!

Today at VBS we helped the kids figure out a word puzzle - helping hands were needed!

We had a bit of free-time outside and decided swinging was a must. It's a hit!

It's amazing to see what a little bit of paint can do! We worked hard today on getting as much surface area covered as we could and were able to make a lot of progress.

Here we are painting the second story!

We ended our day with a prayer service at church. We started by leading a few worship songs and heard a word from our PPM Trip Leader about fully surrendering our lives to Christ and making every moment count. We prayed for one another and members of Isle Verde Baptist Church prayed over our group -we are overwhelmed by their generosity and loving hearts this week.

Today we talked to the kids at VBS about what it means to be saved. We had great conversations and had the opportunity to share what having Jesus in our lives looks like. The kids will be in our hearts and on our minds as we travel home tomorrow.

We had a wonderful block party on our last night in Puerto Rico. We laughed with one another and enjoyed the clown that came and shared a few tricks with us.

We ended out trip in Puerto Rico on the beach, reflecting on the many ways in which the Lord has moved in our lives this week. We were blessed with so many opportunities and met amazing people we will never forget. Instead of saying 'adios' (goodbye) we are saying 'hasta pronto.' We can't wait to see what's in store for the future!
