We're in Belize!by Erin August 7, 2010 at 08:22 AM We made it! The team landed safely in Belize yesterday, and from there enjoyed an hour bus ride north to Orange Walk where we will be serving this week with Pastor Ricardo at the Nazarene Church. Last night after a team orientation meeting and dinner, we went to church for a youth service where the team sang in worship, led a game of ninja, performed a powerful drama, shared a testimony, and gave a great message. Today everyone is smiling and excited for the week ahead!
VBS Singingby Erin August 7, 2010 at 03:51 PM After a delicious breakfast, the team went out door to door to invite people in the neighborhood to all the activities they have going on this week. Then this afternoon the team held their first day of VBS. They started things off by singing fun songs, including Father Abraham. The kids loved the actions.
Jump Shot!by Erin August 7, 2010 at 03:56 PM During VBS today, the kids had the option of a few different sports and one was basketball. The kids from the community had a great time playing games and connecting with the team.
Coloring Fun!by Erin August 7, 2010 at 03:58 PM At craft time during VBS, the kids had a blast coloring pictures and laughing with the team.
In Position Soldiersby RLee August 9, 2010 at 07:51 PM Sunday Morning, and they're all ready for battle. This is their way of getting ready to lead worship. A Very wonderful service of songs, testimonies and a great message from God.
Sing Sing Singby RLee August 9, 2010 at 08:01 PM It's great to hear and see the youths lead the Sunday morning service. It's a joyous thing to hear how great our God is, and the many ways we can offer ourselves to God. A very good way is through singing praise and worship to our God above
Goal!by RLee August 9, 2010 at 08:05 PM The team has had an awesome time playing LOTS of football (soccer) this week. They have been going for the goal both in football and in the hearts of the children.
Simplicityby Erin August 9, 2010 at 08:09 PM Impacting kids for Jesus is as simple as talking with them, sharing laughter and asking them if they want to pray. That's just what Loretta did as she sat with these kids...she simply asked if they wanted to pray about what was going on in their lives. The rest is in God's hands.
It's the climbby RLee August 9, 2010 at 08:13 PM Sometimes we look at the challenges we may face but we just got to let God take over, and that is what mission is about: "Let go, and Let God". Climbing that Mayan Ruin is just like another challenge we face, and we just got to step up to the plate and face our fears, and allow God to guide us one step at a time.
Upliftby RLee August 9, 2010 at 08:20 PM Many times we try to please people with the things we do but sometimes just a smile will do. Find out more about our trips to
