In Haiti at Last!
by Team October 23, 2010 at 07:39 PM We arrived, safe and sound, in Haiti! All the other groups did as well and we got to meet our team for the week. We wasted no time jumping into ministry. The highlight of the day was definitely being at the orphanage. There were over one hundred children and it was our privilege to play with them and love them as best as we could for the time we were there. We will go to bed tonight with their faces on our minds and names on our hearts.

Find out more about Pastor JamesDeacon Holland and Sis. Jiesha, by the time you receive this entry you will have completed your assignment with Praying Pelican. I want you to know that we have labored in prayer for you while you've been serving in Haiti. Every opportunity- in meetings, prayer sessions and private prayer- your names and your mission have been lifted to the throne of the Father. We are honored to have such willing servants as part of the New Community family and we look forward to hearing about all God did in you and through you. And Deacon Holland, we know that you have another week to continue serving in Haiti. What an adventure for the kingdom! We will continue covering you in prayer. We pray Godspeed to you both. -Pastor James
Dr. Brandon RespressGreetings to you Both!
Happy Birthday, Deacon Fred! I pray that the two of you are having a blessed time working with the children and helping to rebuild the lives of many, by sharing the love, faith, and hope of Jesus Christ!
I have read the journal entries and the work that you are involved in seems to be really exciting. I am sure that you will have many stories to tell upon your return. Thank you both for your service and your dedication to touch the lives of others!
May God continue to bless each of you and use you as vessels of His love while in Haiti.
P.S. I wish I were there with you! It's starting to become a little chilly in Ann Arbor!
Blessings,
Dr. B
