Safe arrival!

by Hope Lima | June 25, 2016 4:06 PM

The team arrived safe and sound this morning at 8:45. We were able to stop at one of the Belize signs to take some photos. Then we were able to visit and eat breakfast with our friend Herman and his family. After eating breakfast we were able to take some relax time at a park playing basketball with some locals. This afternoon was spent at King's Children's Home. We were able to play basketball, hang out on the swing set, and love on the children. Overall, the team, by God's will, is feeling energized and excited for what's to come!

Making New Friends

by Katherine Faleafine | June 25, 2016 10:48 PM

How good is God? It was a travel day and everyone was exhausted, but in the midst of all of that there was time to connect, love, and start building relationships with kids and teens at Kings Childrens Home.

Sunday school

by Hope Lima | June 26, 2016 1:40 PM

We went out into the community this morning to lead a Sunday school service for the children. We were able to speak about David and Goliath, play some fun games, and teach them the songs we will be using for vacation bible school! Relationships are already being formed and we can't wait to see how they continue to grow through the Lord this week.

Sunday night church service

by Hope Lima | June 27, 2016 10:11 AM

After our morning worship session with the youth, we were able to go on home visits around Belmopan to invited the families to all the activities we have planned this week. It was an excellent time for building relationships within the community and spreading the word that Casa de Dios is working to help people know Jesus and the gospel. Then, on Sunday evening we joined Casa de Dios in their church service. We worshiped together in Spanish and English and it was beautiful to see that language barriers cannot stop us from worshiping our Lord. Pastor Vargas then shared a wonderful message about serving with us. Christina, Kenneth, and Maria stepped out in faith to share their testimonies with the congregation. The evening was beautiful and filled with the Holy Spirit.

VBS Day 2

by Hope Lima | June 28, 2016 1:13 PM

This morning was full of lots of laughter as we finished our second day of VBS! The kids came back with their team bandanas already on and are starting to remember the songs and dance moves that go along with them. Our story today was about courage and the bible example was about Peter walking on water when Jesus asked him to trust. Our team is full of life and energy thanks to the Lord and we can't wait to see what this afternoon brings.
