Iglesia con Pastor Edgar

by Anna Morgan | June 26, 2016 10:40 AM

This morning we are with Pastor Edgar and his church. This congregation is amazing. They are working to finish their church building that was destroyed in an earthquake 4 years ago. We are so honored and excited to partner with him and his community of Laguanilla this week.

Hearing Pastor Edgar's heart

by Anna Morgan | June 26, 2016 3:14 PM

This afternoon, we had the opportunity to hear from Pastor Edgar and his wife, Marivel. We heard their testimony, vision for their church, heart for the community, and struggles they encounter. His story and love for people is contagious and makes us all excited for the ministry already taking place that we are able to join alongside this week.

Shop til you drop

by Anna Morgan | June 26, 2016 6:57 PM

This afternoon we were able to go to the local store, Maxi Pali, and buy the essential groceries for our food distribution ministry happening this week. God multiplied our money, and we were able to buy groceries for 55 familes! We will start delivering those tomorrow morning in groups along with a translator and a church member from Pastor Edgar's congregation. There will be follow up to each of the families we visit after we leave in order to encourage discipleship and involvement in the local church! We can't wait to see what God does in meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the families we'll meet.

Mix it up!!

by Anna Morgan | June 27, 2016 10:07 AM

Today we start our first day of the construction project at Pastor Edgar's. We will be working on pouring the concrete floor of the church. We are working hard with our new construction worker brothers. Our clothes will never be the same after mixing all of this cement, but it's SO worth it!

Giving Groceries!

by Anna Morgan | June 27, 2016 10:17 AM

While some of the team is mixing concrete, the rest of us are going out into the community of Laguanilla delivering the groceries we purchased and bagged up yesterday. We will be giving these to families in need that Pastor will follow up with after we are gone. We hope to have great conversations, see salvation come to people, pray over families, and be ready for whatever God asks us to do. We can't wait to share the stories from this ministry!

His dream is to offer the feeding program everyday. This week, we are able to host it 3 days!! That's 3 promised meals to these kids and abundant love for them from Jesus!! Today we are making salvation bracelets, playing soccer, and watching Shrek!

Women are women everywhere

by Anna Morgan | June 28, 2016 3:37 PM

Today we had our first morning of women's ministry. It was such a beautiful time of hearing, encouraging, and spending time with these women. We taught about being restored by God, painted nails, and heard from each of them. It was a time we'll never forget.

Daniel and the lions' den

by Anna Morgan | June 28, 2016 9:31 PM

This afternoon, we were able to go back to Pastor Warner’s "church" and feeding program. We taught on Daniel and the lions' den, did crafts, painted faces. And played with the kids there. Many of the kids who attend have heartbreaking stories. We are able to be a light in their lives. We really able to offer hope and joy when they don't often see it. It was a wonderful time for these kids to just be kids.

Empowering & encouraging

by Anna Morgan | June 29, 2016 11:34 AM

We were able to host another session for the women. Pastora has been very involved in this ministry in hopes that it will be a catalyst for the women's ministry in the church. She hopes to continue to teach and offer restoration through Christ for these women. It's been amazing listening to, teaching, treating, and praying for these ladies.

Day 3 with the kiddos

by Anna Morgan | June 29, 2016 11:19 PM

This afternoon we had our third and final day of children's ministry at Pastor Warner’s feeding program. We taught about Shad, Rad, and Benny getting good thrown into the fire for not bowing down to the King's statue. We are hoping and praying these precious kids stay strong in the face of obstacles and temptations that come their way. We love them and will forever be praying for them and their families.
