An Amazing Experience

Submitted by Jeremy Boothby

Brittney and my friends at Praying Pelican,

I want to thank you again for the most amazing experience that I have ever had. I have been on other mission trips, church camps, and retreats throughout my life but none of compared to what the Lord did on my heart during my week in Belize. My heart just melted for the people of Belize. I love them and have stayed in contact with many of them. Unfortunately for us Alexie from the Kings Orphanage was not adoptable so we were pretty heart broken about that. However, she is currently back with her mother and so we continually pray that she has a good mom who is a Christian.

There was some spiritual warfare when I returned home. Just some minor things here at the Church. Although they were minor it was still hard to come home to and deal with. But thank the Lord for the Godly men and women that surround me because they helped to keep them minor and we moved passed them. My week in Belize made me realize that there is only so much you can do in just one week. I wanted to do so much more for the people there in Armenia, but it brought me to the conclusion that I can spend the other fifty two weeks of the year and accomplish a lot for the Lord here in Amarillo, TX. I have learned to spend less hours in the office and more with people I can minister too.

We are looking forward to going back to Belize this next summer. Hopefully we will be bringing more people who can invest a week of their life to the people of Belize. I have spoken with many individually about the trip, but sometimes it seems hard to justify with words what actually took place. In a few Sundays from now my group who went will be speaking about our trip to the congregation, and I will also be giving a testimony of my week in Belize to our men's ministry in a few weeks. Hopefully, this will encourage more to get involved.

I thank you once again for all that you did and all that you do. I pray that the Lord will bless you in your personal life as well as in your ministry. We love you and look forward to speaking again in the future.
