Dear Brittney,
We must "thank you," since the trip would not have been possible without Praying Pelican Missions, yourself, and Jon. I hoped you witnessed the sincerity in our hearts as we expressed our gratitude for such a blessed trip. I didn't get a chance to thank you personally for being a fantastic trip leader. Your tireless work in coordinating our team was such an inspiration that did not go unnoticed by our team. You and Jon did a fantastic job, may the Lord continue to bless you in all things. I know our group can be a ' handful" but you and Jon were extremely patient and forgiving, I really appreciate that.
I was deeply moved by your heart of service, sacrifice, and love for Missions.
We had our weekly Wednesday night Youth Group meeting, shared stories, looked at pictures and videos, and the enthusiasm from the trip has not waned. Many of the youth expressed "I wish I went too" sentiments. So far, all is positive with no spiritual attacks but thank you for your continued prayers as I'm sure they will come.
I personally have so much work to catch up on. The harsh reality of my "real" life has been a splash of cold water hitting my face; however, the fond memories of Belize, Bermudian Landing, the villages, and of course all the beautiful people I met still have a special place in my heart forever.
Thank you for the encouragement and open invitation to continue in ministry partnership with Praying Pelican Missions and Belize. We have a staff meeting this Saturday and it is a topic on our agenda. I will forward the information and partnership opportunities to our Board. I pray this is not where the spiritual warfare begins ;o)
Many of the youth have expressed the willingness and preparedness to go on another Missions trip and are open to returning to Belize. We will definitely pray that God will open that door.
