Traverse City Christian School

We started our morning with a delicious breakfast! We sang "Sanctuary" before eating as we prepare our hearts for service this week. 

We are enjoying some sun & fellowship while painting. (But don't worry, we are using sunscreen!)

We got to help with a construction project, assembling rebar for a wall at the church. 

We are so excited for worship service alongside Monte Sinai this morning!

Mexico vs. USA

We had a super fun time playing soccer with our Mexican friends, they are passionate on the field, and both teams played fair. The USA team was defeated by Mexico this time. Hopefully, we will come back for a new challenge next year.

The team visited Maria and her daughter, Itzel. This young mother was blessed with the message that God is taking care of her and He knows all her needs.

A church member brought us some popsicles for a quick break from work this afternoon! 

Just as King David kept his promise to Mephibosheth and showed mercy to him by restoring his place and putting him at the table with him as a son, God seeks us out and takes us as children.

It’s a new day, and it’s time to fill these shopping carts again, and maybe find a new Mexican candy to try.

It is wonderful to hear the testimonies of people like Johana. It moves us to tears to see the gratitude, and it encourages us to know that the blessing is for them as much as it is for us.

We have been able to sing some worship songs in each home we have visited while sharing what God is showing up through scripture. It is a sweet time of worship & fellowship!

This is genuine partnership! Pastor Manuel is teaching us about construction and working alongside us on our project this week.

We went out for dessert to try some delicious churros! Pastor Manuel and his family joined us too!

We visited the home of some church members this morning. One woman we visited shared her testimony of how a church member, who was her son's teacher, was persistent and patient with her for over a year as she invited her to church and women's events. After our visit, she offered us bread and juice. She didn't want us to have to leave because she enjoyed our visit so much!

After some souvenir shopping in Ensenada, we enjoyed some local tacos. Many of us tried the tacos that pastor recommended, tacos de cabeza!

We made it back to the USA! We will be spending the night in San Diego before we travel home tomorrow morning. 

We already miss Ensenada and the church family of Monte Sinai. We will continue praying for them and hope that we may see them again!
