A really long day

After hours of traveling from California the group arrived in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic yesterday afternoon. We then traveled 4 hours by bus to our ministry location for the week, Casa de Gracia, in Barahona, Dominican Republic. About 10 PM local time(7 PT) the team finally laid down for a slumber.

This morning the team worked alongside some of the members of the church to begin building a clinic at the church. This clinic will serve the needs of the local community.

Yesterday the team put on day 1 of VBS. They will be walking through the life of Jesus with the kids over the next few days. They sang songs, shared a bible lesson, did crafts and played games.

This gazebo serves as our gathering place. We start our day with devotions here, eat all our meals around this area and finish our day here with nightly worship, devotionals and a recap of the day.

The team continued the story of The life of Jesus. We learned about The ministry of Jesus and how he loves us and wants a relationship with us.

The team worked an extra hour today to use all the materials we had. They will leave the walls to the clinic mostly complete. The local church will now continue the work.
