This morning we worshiped, prayed, and spent time together. Charles preached about being like oaks of righteousness.

Today we went to the store to buy groceries to fill 30 bags of food for families in need. This is a way to fulfill a physical need in order to reach a spiritual need. Praise the Lord!

This evening we went to the lookout to worship and talk. It's breathtaking to see God's creation and to be still in His presence.

Pastor Gerardo shared his testimony with us today. It was amazing to hear the beautiful things that the Lord has done in his life and in his family. It encouraged us to work hard for the kingdom of God.

Today we prayed over Pastor Gerardo and the ministry God has put in his hands. We also prayed for his family, his vision, and for his heart.

This morning we got the opportunity to minister to over 30 kids at the local school. We tie-dyed t-shirts, played soccer, and made crafts. It was a lot of fun!

One prayer, one hug, and some encouraging words - Jesus is all we need.
Wendy told this sweet lady we met that every tear is precious to Jesus.

Yesterday we had sports ministry at the soccer field. The men played and then the women got a chance to play too. Charles ended the time together by sharing how we need to put Jesus first, above all else. Soccer opened the door to share the Gospel.

We got to rest at the skate park after a long, but great day of ministry. We love getting the chance to see what's going on in the city. And of course, we got ice cream!

Yesterday was the last full day of ministry, we went the extra mile for Jesus and His kingdom.

In the afternoon we spent time with elderly of the church and community.
We prayed over them, loved them, played some games, and painted nails. They were so thankful and loving!

Wendy shared a Bible Study with the women from the church and community. It was a powerful moment!

While the women were meeting, there was a Bible study for the men as well! Albert shared with the men, and we had great attendance! He shared about using the armor of God.

So happy to see Tom once again sharing his faith and hope in Christ. Seeing all these posts and photos is humbling as I know you are all changed by your service there in Costa Rico. I pray for continued commitment to Pastor Geraldo both in prayer and in giving. I can't wait to hear Wendy tell our ladies about her service to the elderly women...just like back at CFCC. I love following your mission trips and looking for all the updates on what is going on at the church in LaCruz. It's been 2 years since I've been there, but my heart still remains. I hope to return someday. I'm praying for some divine appointments where God will show up and show off! Katie - YOU ROCK! You continue to amaze me with your dedication to missions. You're just about halfway through your week and I know by now you are feeling you never want to come back home. The people and the simplicity of life in LaCruz are alluring. I pray you return with a renewed commitment not only to Jesus but to your individual very personal ministries. Your experiences and blessings will remain with you forever as part of your story. Ask God to ramp up your effectiveness in serving Him. He has already taken you to a place you never dreamed of visiting...let Him continue to move you. Enjoy your fun off-day and stretch yourself there as well.
