AXIS Student Ministry

In a few minutes the team will land here in Costa Rica and we, the staff, are ready for a week of ministry!

We had some time this morning with our host Pastor for the week. It was really inspiring to hear his personal testimony and stories of faithfulness from the Lord.

We started preparing for a great week of ministry by buying all the groceries for 40 bags of food! This is great news, 40 families will be blessed with food supplies. God is good! 

We visited 8 families today, bringing some food supplies and praying for the needs they have. It has been great to learn about the families and encourage them to walk with God. 

Our local church gave us a nice present, a boat trip for the whole team on Sarapiqui River!  We saw monkeys, toucans and more.

We led the service tonight at church for the local people. We had worship, testimonies from students and a powerful message from Pastor Kyle.

Today we visited a beautiful community located in the middle of the banana plantation. We met wonderful people this morning and ministered to the kids at the local church. 

This afternoon we split into two groups to lead VBS in two different communities. Here in Las Palmitas community we spent a great time with 30 kids playing and sharing the Gospel. Such a fun time! 

Today we went to 3 different communities to visit some families and provide food and supplies for them. In smaller groups we delivered 14 bags of essentials and prayed for different needs in the homes. We got to meet and interact directly with the local people.

We made some new friends today!  During VBS we got to minister to over 25 children, sharing Bible stories, crafts and games, so much more. At the end we ate together and prayed for their families. 

We had an amazing time leading tonight’s service with Iglesia Vida.  We had some worship in English and Spanish, shared our life stories, and were able to pray for the congregation.  It was a beautiful time of ministry together!

Today we finished distributing food to the families in the community at the banana plantation.  We have built so many relationships there. God has provided and the Gospel has been shared with the people.

Our last ministry morning was great! We spent our last hours cleaning and picking up trash in Sarapiqui. We are going to miss this country so much! 

We had so much fun today at Jaco beach, it was so nice to swim in the Pacific Ocean and enjoy the zip line tour and horse back riding. We will miss Costa Rica!
