Mt. Hope Baptist Church

Today after church, a group of Mississippi and Virginia boys and girls went down to the river at the Babcock State Park for some swimming. After eating pizza in the sun back at the school, we cooled off in the ice-cold water. The waterfall was incredibly beautiful and the group swam to several cool spots!

This morning we had a wonderful church service at Seville Valley Baptist Church, the message preached by Pastor Fred was about making sure Jesus was the Lord of our hearts. Praise God!

Today we were able to work with one of the city workers to help with some various projects around Rainelle. We walked around the town and helped pick up trash on the roads and ditches while also meeting many of the people who live here. It was a blessing to get to know the people here and help out this wonderful town!

Today we were able to help City Hall with some projects to help set the groundwork for some larger projects. We helped clean the entrance and painted new signs for the parking lot.

In the afternoon we were able to work with the local park and cemetery and help with cleanup efforts there. It was a good day of work and we were able to be a blessing to the community! 

Today we were able to help with requests that had been put in by some elderly members of the community. We were able to help Mr. Junior and his wife with hedges that had grown out of control.

We were able to haul off 2 trailer loads of yard trimmings. We also helped pressure wash a porch for another home. We were able to get to know some members of the community better and they were a blessing to us as well! 

Tonight the Rainelle town hall invited us to end our week of service with the community by using their pool. It was a great time to relax after a week of hard work! Here's Will from the Ohio group making good use of the diving board! A great end to a great week!
