Luther Memorial Church

The team made it safe and sound in Costa Rica. We believe in what God has in store for this amazing group of people.

We went to ‘Maxi Pali’ to get the groceries that will be packaged for food distribution - up to 60 bags of food will be delivered to families around the community.

We started out very early this morning packing the bags we will deliver this week for food distribution.

We heard so many stories on our first day of ministry. We were able to go to more than 20 houses today to pray and hear from many families around the neighborhood. 

Cameron and Hannes helped prepare the wood for what is going to be a new church closet. They did the cutting, sanding, and measuring to get wood pieces ready to start tomorrow afternoon.

What an encouraging time we had with Pastor Elías and his wife. Listening to their testimony of faith and how their ministry started was a blessing to all of us.

We got to spend time with the women of the community. We had an extraordinary time where we were able to listen to God’s word and share a beautiful time of testimonies. Monica spoke about the importance of remaining faithful in the midst of suffering. We close our night making necklaces and bracelets.

While the women’s activity was taking place, part of the group stayed outside to play with the children who came with their mothers. We had so much fun playing soccer and ladder golf.

On our last day of ministry, we reached more families from different communities. God allowed us to minister to more than 60 families through the visits we made throughout the week. What a blessing it was to get to know their stories and their hearts.

The men’s night was a great success. We shared about the important role a man plays in his family and the commitment we have with God to take care of our wives and children. We got to hear their struggles and how we can support and encourage one another.

This morning we celebrated our brothers and sisters who graduated from the inductive Bible course they took with pastor for months. We’re so happy that they’re learning more of God’s word!

Quentin spoke about how important and necessary it is for God’s people to study the Bible.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬
