Worshipping as One Body

This morning we were honored to be able to worship with Iglesia Biblica Emanuel. It was an amazing experience worshipping with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We loved the passion in their lively praise and worship!

Praying over Pastor

by Nathan Norman | April 4, 2016 2:23 AM

This afternoon we had the privilege of hearing from our host pastor, Pastor Jose Blas. He shared his testimony about how God saved him, his call to ministry, and the needs of his community. We ended the meeting by praying over Pastor Jose for protection, vision, health, his family and church. We are thankful to be serving a pastor who loves his community!

This morning we served at a government run daycare for underprivileged children. We had so much fun playing with them, reading, and showing them the love of Jesus Christ!

Lobos!

by Nathan Norman | April 4, 2016 5:24 PM

We played an intense game of "Lobos" or "Wolves." The wolves would prepare themselves and then chase us around the yard. It was so much fun!

10 of Everything!

by Nathan Norman | April 5, 2016 1:21 AM

This evening we went to a local supermarket and purchased 10 of everything: bread, tortillas, carton of eggs, rice, beans, bananas, oil, flour, sugar, carrots, onions, potatoes and salsa. Tomorrow we will be delivering the 10 bags to 10 families that have been hand-picked by our host pastor. We are praying that these groceries bless the families and give us an opportunity to share Christ's love with them.

Niños de Martina Bustos

by Nathan Norman | April 5, 2016 1:22 PM

This morning we visited a feeding center in Martina Bustos, a more remote community outside of Liberia. We intended to participate in a feeding program, but it was not running do to no water in the community for over a week now! We were able to gather some children and young men who enjoyed playing soccer with us. We also spent time coloring and having snacks with these precious children.

Food...AND WATER!

by Nathan Norman | April 5, 2016 7:24 PM

This afternoon we had the amazing opportunity to bless 10 families with groceries. The families were so grateful! In this community, they have not had water in a week! Can you imagine that? We were able to help carry jugs and buckets of water to an elderly ladies home. We also stopped to pray that their water problem would be resolved. As we continued to go house to house, can you guess what happened? Water started trickling! We have a faithful, faithful God!

Game Time!

by Nathan Norman | April 5, 2016 7:35 PM

We had about 15 children join us for an afternoon game of soccer. The kids were so joyful and loving. As we left they asked, "when are you coming back?" Hopefully soon!

Elderly Visit

by Nathan Norman | April 6, 2016 12:33 PM

This morning we went to an elderly home to love on the seniors there. We spent time sharing about our hobbies and where we were from. We sang and then they sang back. It was a sweet time loving on them. We even had some intense matches of Dominoes and Checkers!

Movie Night!

by Nathan Norman | April 6, 2016 10:30 PM

This afternoon we traveled to San Martin in Nicoya to put on a feeding program and movie night. We started by inviting all of the children from the community with flyers as we went door to door. We had so much fun playing with the children and sharing God's love with them. Most of the children had never seen a movie on a large screen before! It was great to spend the day with Pastor Warner and see his huge heart for those children!

Rec Day!

by Nathan Norman | April 7, 2016 7:28 PM

After working hard all week we took our final day to relax and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica. We had so much fun zip-lining and hanging out at the beach, rejoicing in all that God has done this week!
