Stretch!by Nicole Garzia | July 25, 2016 1:23 AM
Happy Sunday! The team went to worship at Bay Hills Community Church. Wow, what a powerful message we heard today on David. After church the team went to minister to the homeless community at Gilman. This homeless community is in great danger of them being pushed out with nowhere to go. So today the team got to meet the community & pass out lunches. They got to have some great conversation with many who live here. It was a great experience for sure. We didn't waste any time today & we headed out to New Hope & got ready for VBS. Some of the team went out into the neighborhood to pass flyers out while others served at VBS. We had 5 children. Please pray for more to come to this church. I can't wait to see the team stretched out even more tomorrow. Pray for boldness over the team and for God to work through them!
Courthouse Prayerby Nicole Garzia | July 25, 2016 3:43 PM
This morning the team got up and went to the Richmond Courthouse and worked with a ministry where they set up a table and asked people going in and out of the courthouse if they could pray with them. These guys were nervous to do it, but took the challenge on to pray for the people of Richmond. We were able to pray for 35 people this morning! The team was bold and had some great conversations with many different people. It was an amazing morning!
God Momentsby Nicole Garzia | July 27, 2016 1:36 AM
Today the team got the opportunity to go to the Bay Area Rescue Mission and got to learn about the program and what they do. They were split up into two groups. One in the warehouse and one in the culinary department. Tonight while sharing God moments, most of them had to do with what they did all morning. There was good conversations, testimonies shared, and blessings everywhere. It was truly an amazing experience. Today for VBS, our numbers doubled! Praise the Lord! The kids are having a blast coming and playing with the team, and it's amazing to see leadership in the teens and how they are doing such amazing things!
Jesus with skin onby Nicole Garzia | July 27, 2016 11:58 PM
These guys have worked so hard this week! They were fluid when our schedule changed this morning & they did an amazing job with our last night of VBS. There were some connections that were made that made it hard for the team to leave tonight. They went to Bay Hills Community church and painted where the future preschool ministry would be. They were rock stars at painting the walls the bright colors that we did. The boys moved a dirt pile in the afternoon. They accomplished so much in a short amount of time today. I'm sure that they will all be sleeping well tonight!
Unforgettable by Nicole Garzia | July 28, 2016 11:14 PM
This week has been an unforgettable week for sure. The team has been stretched, gone out of their comfort zone & been Jesus with skin on all week long. Today each person was given two water bottles and we took BART (like a subway) into the city and they were challenged to give these water bottles out to a person and ask two questions. 1. Would you like this free water? 2. Is there anything that I can pray with you for? Each person took that challenge and gave their water bottles out and made some neat connections with many people today. They got to enjoy Chinatown and relax after a long week of ministry. Pray for them tomorrow as they head back home changed. Thank you for your prayers this week. God is so good.
