Sunday afternoon!

by Gloirgens Jean | November 21, 2016 3:02 PM

At around 12:30, we had to say goodbye to 7 of us who were heading to Les Cayes to keep doing the work of God alongside pastor Jean Obed Delcy and the people in there. After praying over them, hugging it was bittersweet to say goodbye as always, they made it safe and sound, keep them in prayers, they really need that! To close the awesome day, we went back to the Bertin church to do youth ministry, it was awesome to share joy and love with those sweet young boys and girls. God is good!

by Gloirgens Jean | November 21, 2016 3:43 PM

After a great time spending with the children at Bertin church, we headed to ASHCA, which is a handicap home for kids with disabilities, we were thrilled to see the smile on their beautiful little faces. we had so much fun hanging out with them, sharing the same story with them about how special they are, we played with them, love on them. we are so thankful to God for this opportunity. Keep praying for us as we're looking forward to more good moments like this!

Successful first day

by James Bazin | November 21, 2016 8:50 PM

What a great day today was for us, the hurricane relief crew. After breakfast this morning and some talk around the table, we went out with a chainsaw (with Larue, the chainsaw master) headed to beach and did lots of cleaning there, cutting and moving trees that were in the middle of the way. One of Our plans for this week is to provide as many roofs as possible, so after lunch we started to build trusses for the first home we will be putting a roof on. We were able to put the trusses up, and this came out very nicely. We just can't wait for another day tomorrow. More pictures to come in the following day.

Back at it again

by James Bazin | November 22, 2016 8:23 PM

Today again after breakfast, we went out with the chainsaw. We were able to cut lots of trees and do lots of cleaning in the community. Everybody wanted us to enter their yards and do some work for them.

Some more tree cutting

by James Bazin | November 22, 2016 8:42 PM

See this big mango tree right here that Coby is modeling on? This is probably one of our biggest achievements so far. We helped a family cutting this into many pieces. Their goal is to make a boat out of that, so we just can't wait to come back next year and see that boat or even ride in it.

Construction time

by James Bazin | November 22, 2016 8:53 PM

After lunch and some great time of rest. We went to our construction site and did some construction. The roof is coming out very nicely and by tomorrow a family will be able to sleep inside a house with a roof over their heads. All the praises be to God!

How we end our day?

by James Bazin | November 22, 2016 9:10 PM

You wanna know how we (the hurricane relief team) end our day today? This picture will give you an idea. We had a bonfire meeting at the beach. We had James with his guitar leading us in worship. It was just the most perfect way for us to end our day. Can't wait to see what God has in store for us for the rest of our time Here.

Tree ministry

by Gloirgens Jean | November 25, 2016 9:38 AM

We went out in the community with coconut and cherry trees to give out to the people there while we are sharing Christ with them and pray with them as well, five people gave their lives to Jesus Christ! Thank you Lord for giving us the right words to Share! Keep praying for those people as the seeds have been planted in their hearts, so that they can grow and bare fruits.

There is not a better way to end our day! We spent a great time with the women and the youth this afternoon, sharing with each other, loving on each other and worshipping together. We also did craft, it was amazing! Keep praying for us as we're looking forward to our last ministry day at Bertin. God is good!

Bittersweet !

by Gloirgens Jean | November 25, 2016 11:06 AM

It is sweet because we have an extra fun day with the kids at Bertin, but it's also bitter knowing that today is our last day with them and also some of us wake up sick this morning, we still count on your prayers as we're heading out to be God's hands and feet today! God is good all the time!
