The first group just made it to the host church! And smells like something good is getting cooked in the kitchen here!

Everyone is here!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | January 31, 2016 8:33 AM

It's a new morning, and the team is together. Don't you think they look good? They're ready to serve! And we're ready for a Tico (Costarican) church service!
Everyone is here!

There was joy!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | January 31, 2016 2:32 PM

We praised the Lord together, with so much joy! It is beautiful to know that in our God we are ONE.
There was joy!

The word of the Lord came!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | January 31, 2016 2:35 PM

Pastor's preaching was so full of wisdom and encouragement for the church. A calling to let God be God and dare ourselves be God's child.
The word of the Lord came!

Prayer Walk

by Nathan Norman | January 31, 2016 10:04 PM

This afternoon we did a prayer walk around Guayabal after hearing Pastor Odir tell us about the community. We were surprised at how willing the Costa Ricans were to let us in their homes to receive prayer!

First full day, and the hard work has started!
Day Two!

More ministry!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | February 1, 2016 11:50 PM

We had hard work that was soft too!! We stuffed a lot of pillows, and reminded them that God wanted to fill them up too! Funny and cute! But most of all.. POWERFUL.
More ministry!

Salvation!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | February 1, 2016 11:53 PM

Sometimes on missions trips, or in ministry, you plant the seed, but ohers are the the ones who can see the fuits of the work. Today we were able to see some fruit. This lady came to Jesus for the first time, and now her name is in the Book of Life!
Salvation!

Day 3!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | February 2, 2016 7:46 AM

Day 3!

More moms came over!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | February 2, 2016 3:48 PM

We are excited! Today we shared about how beautiful are the feet of those who share the Gospel and also about how Mary washed Jesus' feet. So we wanted to serve them and we washed and massaged the ladies feet, followed by fresh toenail polish!
More moms came over!

We cleaned outside!

by Cirielle Rodriguez | February 2, 2016 3:52 PM

We served at the church by trimming the "living fence." It looks great!

We went to the police station and served there, cleaning, and cleaning some more! We were able to pray for all of the officers whose pictures were on the wall, what a blessing!

Time to go

by Cirielle Rodriguez | February 4, 2016 11:16 PM

Goodbyes are always hard, but there's a good aftertaste of knowing you might see them again and that you left a footprint on the life of the people we worked with.! This is our last team picture in Costa Rica for this time, with changed people that now have left a piece of their hearts in this land. We say goodbye to guayabal, but never to our mission..!
