The travel continuesby Cassandra Jean Louis | October 16, 2016 12:41 PM
We arrived safely in Haiti and loaded all our bags on the bus to continue our travel. We stopped at a grocery store to pick up some food basics for the week and water then we grabbed salads and burgers at a restaurant before hitting the road. Now we are heading across town to pick up the building supplies before finishing our journey later today.
Pray for continued travel mercies. We are glad to be here and ready to get out feet on the ground.
Welcomed with joyby Cassandra Jean Louis | October 17, 2016 6:27 AM
We pulled in, unloaded the truck, had dinner and chatted about the week. Pastor Bientot and his wife expressed their gratitude and their joy to have us with them in such a critical situation. They have made the classrooms like a normal bedroom with beds and mirrors. They have another classroom made like a dining room with tables and chairs.

An early morningby Cassandra Jean Louis | October 17, 2016 8:22 AM
Everyone was up at 6. We started working before breakfast. Some of us worked on the house taking down whatever Matthew left up while Pete and I worked on the technical stuff (figuring out measurements and truss patterns). We are hoping to get all of our trusses made today. Everyone will have something to do.

We have been working hard. Already figured out all the pieces we need to build 10 trusses. Our staff boys are cutting the pieces now.

A great dayby Cassandra Jean Louis | October 17, 2016 8:17 PM
Twas a great and productive day today. We enjoyed working as a team and and enjoyed having/seeing the kids helping too. We finished 4 trusses and hope to finish the rest tomorrow Lord willing.
We see God in the way everything has been orchestrated and working well even though none of this was in our plan a couple of weeks ago.
Another early morningby Cassandra Jean Louis | October 18, 2016 5:17 PM
Ok. We got up early again today. We continued with the trusses while the ladies helped the kitchen ladies with their chores ( washing table cloths and hang them, cleaning...) We also sent a group out in the community to help cutting the big trees they still had laying around in their yard.
