Sharing our Storiesby Linda Castillo | March 26, 2017 1:11 PM
This morning as we prepare to serve in Kids Ministry at Rock Harbor Fellowship, we took some time in groups of 4 and shared our stories (in 7 minutes). Following our time of sharing each of the others in the group affirmed and prayed over us.
What a GREAT way to start our Sunday!
Sunday Morning Kids Ministryby Linda Castillo | March 26, 2017 2:27 PM
Our team is sharing Jesus as the Light in their lives to 2 groups of kids...PLUS making a lighthouse, too. Absolutely love hearing teens teach, sing, play and pray with kids.
Meeting & Praying for Homelessby Linda Castillo | March 27, 2017 4:40 PM
Sunday afternoon took us to the streets of Berkeley with bagged lunches, towels, shirts, bedding, socks and an attitude to become welcoming friends & prayer intercessors.
This team is BOLD, COURAGEOUS, and SOOOO WILLING to be Jesus with skin on. There was not a person ignored, or slighted...all were engaged in conversation and love. The prayers that were spoken, the hugs that were given (and received) and the stories we heard were amazing. Our God was glorified all afternoon.
We were encouraged by the love given to us, the words of hope that were spoken and the toughness to keep going.
But we came home changed...we know names of new friends, we looked into the eyes of those we might not have spoken to before today...and most of all, we are changed to remember and to pray for these we met today. We are changed to look for new friends in our backyard.

Testimonies of a BIG God by Linda Castillo | March 28, 2017 10:18 PM
Stories of a God who is bigger than our giants, our challenges and circumstances...how good to hear how GREAT our God is from peeps of all ages. This team once again "serves well".
Love hearing Matthew and Winston tell their stories and soooo enjoyed Brittany and Ruth "sing and share" their stories as well. WONDERFUL to be reminded how BIG our God is in our struggles. He is faithful!

Meet Lewis Lester...he lives under the 5th Street Overpass in San Francisco. Our teams went out and served him and his friends under the overpass and down 5th Street to Market. Our hearts are full to hear stories, give some food, pray and love on these that we met. Gotta say that the hearts of these young teams are AWESOME.

Early Rec/Late Dinnerby Linda Castillo | March 30, 2017 1:36 AM
Following a full day of serving a brand new church, serving homeless near our residence tonight, we were absolutely ready for from local San Francisco dinner...and so the surprise was salvordorean papusies. ..
Surprise was on us...making the dough, frying up the dough, loading it with delicious ingredients...well, took longer than we had hoped. The weather was chilly and windy, the "famous fog" was blowing in...yet, dinner was still longer than we wanted.
As the trip assustant, I was disappointed (even cried a tear or two in disappointment) and wished we hadn't experienced the delay. THAT moment is when I was reminded that many of the peeps we were just seeving, were hungry like that all all day...but THIS wasn't in our plan...lol
Thankful that even in delays the devil can't rib our joy...can't make us forget all that God has done all week.
Plus the papusies were absolutely delicious; the wind settled down, the chocolate sundae helped and we are ready for a full day tomorrow in the City By the Bay.

Thank you for coming to San Francisco and making a difference in our community.
Thank you for saying YES to Jesus even when you didn't know what to expect....God had some expectations for EACH of you.
You served with your whole heart...and it was filled with joy, love and willingness to be bold & courageous like Joshua in the Old Testment.
EACH of you shined. Each of you delighted the Lord...and we were glad to be beside you.
Come back again. Let's serve together. ..oh, and yes, let's play some more games together too.
