Sunday Schoolby Ryanne Ritchey | January 9, 2017 1:27 PM
We were not sure what to expect during our first day, but we were quickly accepted by these fun children. We led Sunday school in the morning. This time included songs and worship, a short story, and lots of games and fun. We continued to play long after Sunday school was over! We kicked around a soccer ball, played duck duck goose, and lots of tag. We have been blessed by these quick friendships, and we are looking forward to even more!
Snake Tag With The Kidsby Trent Strietelmeier | January 9, 2017 2:03 PM
After worshipping with the kids in Sunday School, we were blessed with the opportunity to play games with the local kids. We played a variety of games for a couple of hours. It was a wonderful experience for all of the Missions Team to be able to run around with the kids and see them with huge smiles on their faces. There are no words to describe the amount of joy that these kids expressed, especially when the kids do not come from homes that are as blessed as our homes in America. There is no telling where this week will take us, but if the rest of the week is anything like the first day, this will be an extremely fruitful journey and will be beneficial to our minds, bodies, souls, and spirits.
For the childrenby Julianne Soler | January 9, 2017 2:37 PM
Our missions team has had the opportunity to play with the children here each day, and as we get to know them, we become more aware of the beautiful hearts that they all have. They love to laugh, play, and be happy. To have the chance to encourage and love on them each day is such a blessing. We are so excited to continue this week teaching the children about the one who loves us most and getting to learn about each child. God is so good to have brought us all together in Belize, I have faith that we will continue to see his hand throughout this trip.
Home Visits by Riley Searle | January 9, 2017 3:04 PM
We had the opportunity to go out into the village on home visits. As we were walking to a home, we saw a large family poking their heads out of the door of a house. We felt like we should stop and talk with them. There were many, many kids in this family, so we invited them to the VBS we would be doing the following day. After some more small talk, we asked if there was anything we could pray about for them. One of the older women told us that the grandmother of the house was sick and had a lot of pain. We laid hands on her and asked God to take away all of the pain away and heal her completely. On the way out, we were also able to pray for the sick baby. It was so great to have the privilege of taking the power and the message of the gospel to the homes of the locals. Praise God for all that He is doing in Belize.
Church Service by Herman Blease | January 9, 2017 3:20 PM
After a great day, it was so awesome to end with an amazing church service. We did some songs and testimonies. The Holy Spirit was so tangible throughout the entire service! It is so amazing to experience the presence of God thousands of miles away from home! God is truly omnipresent!
Full Gospel Church of Armeniaby Taylor Westrom | January 9, 2017 3:37 PM
In Belize, we got to experience a culture that was alot different than what we were used to. We got the opportunity to experience a church service in Belize and it was eye opening. Spanish worship music was played and the prayers were also spoken in Spanish. Two of our members spoke in front of the church and gave a message about being intimate with God as well as singing some of our English worship music. And even though our cultures are different from one another, God's love transcended all and united both cultures together. It was an experience I will never forget.
Food Ministryby Herman Blease | January 12, 2017 11:23 AM
We had the opportunity to go to the supermarket to purchase some food for food ministry. We were very excited about this ministry as a lot of the people in Armenia were in need.
Preparing Foodby Herman Blease | January 12, 2017 11:27 AM
We prepared and packaged twelve bags of food items to be delivered to twelve needy families chosen by Pastor Garcia. We only wished we could have done more but we are going to at least have twelve happy families.
Construction by Herman Blease | January 12, 2017 11:32 AM
While our food crew was preparing the food bags, our construction crew was on the job moving sand and rocks to compact the foundation in order to eventually concrete the floor of the children's Sumday school class. All hands were on deck!

Xunantunich Mayan Siteby Herman Blease | January 12, 2017 12:04 PM
On Tuesday Morning, we had the opportunity to go visit a Mayan Site! It was so cool as we got to see both countries (Guatemala and Belize) from the top of the tallest temple at Xunantunich. That was a truly great experience!
Girl Picby Herman Blease | January 12, 2017 12:15 PM
The girls took a really cute picture at Xunantunich. Of course this got on some of the guys' nerves! This was what Riley had to say about it: "The girls are taking a picture again! Nice! Only the 1001 this trip." Haha.
Constructionby Herman Blease | January 12, 2017 12:20 PM
After an awesome time at Xunantunich, it was back to construction! Dr. Parker and the crew were determined to get the floor finished before leaving Armenia!
