After a long day of travel, all of us leaders arrived in Alaska and explored downtown Anchorage. Then, we enjoyed salmon and halibut burgers before making the drive up to Wasilla! We are excited for the next few days!

We were all awake pretty early as we adjust to the time change, so a coffee stop was in order! Most coffee shops in Alaska are little drive-up/walk-up huts.

It was refreshing and encouraging to spend some time in worship with Mat-Su Covenant Church this morning!

We were amazed by the Alaskan wilderness and the beauty at the retreat center in Chickaloon! After taking in silence and listening to the Lord, Byron shared about the vision and ministries of CYAK (Covenant Youth of Alaska) while we all sat in a yurt!!
We learned that CYAK is a ministry dedicated to serving the youth and young adults of Alaska, and has a strong presence in 12 villages and a few of the larger cities in Alaska.

On our drive from Chickaloon to our next partner visit in Palmer, God blessed us with the incredible opportunity to see some moose along the side of the road! This mama and her babies were patient enough to allow us to snap a few pictures from the safety of our van.

We had the opportunity to serve at Frontline Mission this morning by packing 250 breakfast bags that will be given to children in the area. The staff shared how needs have increased since the pandemic began, and they have more people coming in for help. It was great to see how ministry is still happening safely in the midst of the pandemic.

We walked out on the Kincaid Sand Dunes at dusk to see the sun set. It was very cold, but so worth it!

We cannot get enough of those views! We stopped for one more photo op of the mountains before saying goodbye to part of our team this afternoon. We are so excited to return with our teams this summer!
