Our team showed up to Breakthrough this morning, ready to serve! We had a group downstairs building shelves, a group sweeping & mopping the main area, and a group outside cleaning up around the property.

“This morning we worked at Breakthrough Ministries to serve lunch to the homeless in the area. While serving food I was amazed at the joy some of the men and women had and shared with us despite the circumstances they were in. My favorite part of the day however was walking around the streets and talking with people we saw. I was touched by the stories they told and it was a really enlightening experience.”

The team had an opportunity to visit George Floyd square this afternoon. We got to learn about the nearby community and how current events have affected them. We also got to meet George Floyd’s aunt and uncle who got to share a little bit of their heart with the team!

The team spent this morning packing up Manna Packs to help those in need around the world. The process was dumping vitamins, veggies, soy, and rice in a pack and then sealing it closed. The team also prayed for each box that is going to be sent out!

“After packing meals at FMSC, we worked with Good in the Hood to prepare groceries for people in the community that are in need. I really enjoyed greeting the people and giving them the opportunity to shop for themselves. Earlier in the day we also walked around Minneapolis handing out blankets and blessing bags to the homeless. It was really interesting hearing their stories and getting the opportunity to give back to the community.”
