by Carlos Velásquez | March 11, 2024 10:38 PM

Oh Really?

by Carlos Velásquez | March 11, 2024 10:44 PM

Today we visited Ms. Reina and Mr. Alejandro. As the conversation went along, we found out he spoke some English and lived in the US for over 10 years! We told him about us and the conversation went so well that we couldn’t believe we spent an hour at his house having a great conversation.

Storytellers!

by Carlos Velásquez | March 14, 2024 8:58 AM

Even though we enjoy our communion with the brothers and sisters of the church, our team decided to go and work with the kids from this congregation. Dixon and Ms. Eli enjoyed telling Bible stories to all of those kids and spreading Jesus' love to them.

Ships and Sailors!

by Carlos Velásquez | March 14, 2024 10:12 AM

Land in Sight!

by Carlos Velásquez | March 14, 2024 10:17 AM

Our team enjoyed the hike on Jeannette Kawas natural park, sailing and seeing the beauty of the ocean; but the most beautiful part was getting to spend the afternoon at this magic and amazing place where everybody relaxed after a week full of work. The hammocks, games, swimming and a sense of peace we could feel in that place were exactly what we needed and way more than what we expected!

Visiting the Elders

by Carlos Velásquez | March 14, 2024 4:47 PM

Today we visited a nursing home that takes care of old people who have been abandoned and mistreated by their families. Seeing their faces shine with our visit, receiving hugs and compliments was so sweet from them.

Time to Move!

by Carlos Velásquez | March 14, 2024 4:48 PM

Right after introducing ourselves, our team performed the dancing they had prepared beforehand and so many people from the nursing home got to move and dance with them-so much fun!

After spending a good time talking, laughing, dancing and playing games with the elders; Rosalinda told us about the story of that nursing home. Their ups and downs, needs and blessings from the Lord and thanked us for spending our last day with all the people that she and others take care of.

Until we meet again!

by Carlos Velásquez | March 15, 2024 11:26 AM

After a whole week full of laughter, joy and new experiences we had to say goodbye to our beloved friends from Louisiana, wishing them a nice trip and hoping we will see them again soon.
Until we meet again!

Golden memories

by Carlos Velásquez | March 15, 2024 11:33 AM

We learned a lot, ate delicious food, made new friends, went through new experiences and much more during this week. Our hearts have been touched in such a way that we won’t see Honduras the same way anymore. We’re thankful to not just have served God but also to have found a second home here, and we will treasure these beautiful memories until the Lord allows us to come back and be together again.
