Staff for the Week!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 24, 2024 12:49 PM

Hello! Erik and Josué are ready for this exciting week of service God has in store for us! Let's  pray for them as they and the team go on the very first PPM mission trip in Panama.

Staff for the Week!

Landed in Panama

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 24, 2024 1:37 PM

Thank God we landed safe and sound and now we're heading to Llano Tugrí, where the church is located. We pray this week God is going to transform lives and and lead our hearts.

Finally Here!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 25, 2024 5:22 PM

After a long drive and a stop for resting, we finally made to Llano Tugrí, where Pastors welcomed us joyfully singing and showing us a bit of their dialect Ngöbe-Bugle!

Finally Here!

Preparing the Bags

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 25, 2024 5:26 PM

We didn't wait too long and got to start preparing the bags for food distribution and pray for the people we are going to deliver them to.

Go Tell it on the Mountain

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 25, 2024 6:27 PM

We went to deliver the groceries, get to know people from Tugrí and to pray over them as they welcomed us to their beautiful  reservation for the first time!

We're all His Children

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 25, 2024 8:20 PM

We might be from different countries, but we're all sons and daughters of the same God; we share the same passion and the same joy for the Lord.

Construction Project

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 25, 2024 8:24 PM

For the first day of construction we started by digging the holes for the posts that will hold the fence of the church. God's so amazing that we almost finished with all the holes in one single afternoon!

Special Service

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 25, 2024 9:29 PM

We had service on a Monday night, but it was a special service because they gather on Sundays normally and because we were where the new building will be some day in the future!

Special Service

Answered Prayers

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 25, 2024 9:43 PM

Our heart is full of tenderness after pastors told us tonight during service that we are an answered prayer of many years. This trip is not only the first PPM trip in Panama, but it is the first trip of American missionaries that have come to this reservation in many many years!
Answered Prayers

Praying over the Bags

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 26, 2024 4:39 PM

We started the day of ministry by praying so God would multiply the food and be a physical and spiritual blessing for the families we were going to visit today.

Food Distribution Day 2

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 26, 2024 5:16 PM

We climbed the mountain in front of the church to deliver food and pray over members of the community of Comarca.

Leaders of the Community

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 26, 2024 5:21 PM

Some of these families have donated land for schools, the church, and even a future university! We want to honor them and pray blessings and health over them as they have done so much for their people and for the Kingdom of God.

Romans 10:14-15

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 26, 2024 5:26 PM

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Construction Project Day 2

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 2:21 AM

We were able to finish digging the holes for the fence posts during the morning so the locals could put them on and start welding the fence.

God's Vision

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 2:26 AM

The land for the new temple was already leveled, but God put in the leaders' heart to go even farther with the plan, so we started to level the ground to make the building 10 ft wider!

Last Bags

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 1:56 PM

What a privilege it is to know we can be God's hands and feet for a week in Panama! Please continue praying for these bags and these families.

Food Distribution Day 3

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 2:03 PM

This last day of food distribution was truly a blessing. Families welcomed us and told us they have seen the team around the community and they like having us as visitors. That is an honor for us and makes us feel blessed.

More Leveling

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 2:09 PM

Today we continued digging and leveling the ground for the new building. We want to do as much as we can while we're here!

Finishing the Fence

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 2:21 PM

In order to finish the fence we needed to pull it while one of the locals welded it to the posts, and thank God we had enough time to finish it!

It's Done!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 3:25 PM

We finished the fence with the locals. We are happy God allowed us to be part of this church's growth.

It's Done!

We're all His people

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 4:45 PM

Roxana is one of the cooks and also one of the leaders of the church, and God put in her heart to give one of the girls a traditional Ngäbe-Bugle dress as proof of acceptance and love to the team.

Graduation

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 4:50 PM

Even with rain, many kids of the community gathered today to receive their certificates for a Bible school program they attended throughout the year, and we were here to celebrate with them!

I've got the Joy!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 27, 2024 4:53 PM

As part of the celebration, we sang a song about the joy we have in our hearts because Jesus saved us.
I've got the Joy!

Last digging round!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 29, 2024 1:23 PM

We had one more morning of ministry, and we got to dig and level half of the full extension of the future building, which was a great advance for only having only 4 days of ministry. What an honor was to be able to serve this church this week!

Praying for the sick

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 29, 2024 1:26 PM

During our last hours in the Comarca, brothers and sisters came to church and asked us to pray for their families and health.

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 29, 2024 2:06 PM

We saved 4 bags for the end, and gave them to the guys that helped us in ministries and to Pastor Julian. We pray blessing over them and their families.

Honor the local pastors

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 29, 2024 2:19 PM

Honoring the local pastors is always one of our priorities, so we try to make them feel listened and cared about.

Love one another

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 29, 2024 2:24 PM

Seeing the locals breaking barriers and grabbing us to hug us and tell us see you later warms our hearts so much!

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Psalms 133:1

Thank you Pastor Julian!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 29, 2024 2:36 PM

Thank you for letting come to your church and to your beautiful community. God bless you and your ministry!
Thank you Pastor Julian!

See you later Llano Tugrí!

by Josué Toruño Madriz | March 29, 2024 2:53 PM

Sometimes it's hard to say bye, but we know God had a purpose for us and also for the people from Llano Tugrí this week, and we saw Him working through everyone's lives.
See you later Llano Tugrí!
