Church & Baptisms!

by Reagan Norman | March 17, 2024 3:30 PM

This morning we had the privilege of attending two Sunday morning services! We first attended Open Arms, which is where we are lodging this week. Afterwards we headed over to Christian Fellowship for Nations, where we will be serving most of the week! We are grateful to be worshiping with other brothers & sisters in Christ!

After service we had the privilege and honor of going to two baptisms at a church members house! One of the girls that was baptized shared her testimony and it was so encouraging to hear! We enjoyed lunch with our new church family and had some good laughs!

We started our morning off at John Slidell Park. We raked pine cones and old pine straw and picked up sticks to help clean up the area!

Ending the Night!

by Reagan Norman | March 19, 2024 7:10 AM

Our dinner was cooked by one of the members of Christian Fellowship for the Nations’ church. We enjoyed a Monday Louisiana meal of red beans and rice with bread pudding! We loved it! We are so grateful for the body of Christ here in Louisiana! After eating at the church we got to play outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Thank you Jesus for this weather!

by Reagan Norman | March 19, 2024 10:46 PM

We started off our morning in New Orleans helping Pastor Greg & Cherie pack up their house as they move closer to the church in Slidell that they pastor at. Sam (pictured) and Andrew were in charge of helping pack Pastor Greg’s workshop!

Ava & Naomi helped pack up the fragile things in the kitchen!
We were able to end our time with Cherie by praying for the rest of our week and over their move! We were so grateful that we got to help make the transition smoother and easier for them!

Connect Four!

by Reagan Norman | March 19, 2024 10:56 PM

After all of the work was done, Noah challenged Mrs. Jene, a member of CFN, to a game of connect four! Noah one gracefully and they both had a lot of fun!

We were able to sit down with Mrs. Jene and hear more about her heart for her church and community. It was so beautiful and encouraging to hear! It is so cool how God works!

Dinner at Mrs. Kim’s!

by Reagan Norman | March 19, 2024 11:37 PM

We ended our night by enjoying a delicious meal at Mrs. Kim’s house! She is a member of CFN church! Mrs. Kim told us stories about her childhood in Vietnam and her journey to the United States. It was very interesting to hear how different it was in Vietnam as well as what it was like over here for her.

Park Time!

by Reagan Norman | March 21, 2024 9:54 AM

In the afternoon we headed to Walnut Park with CFN and got to hang out with the community there. We played football, soccer, basketball and some other games! There were also bins of clothes that the kids and parents could go through and take home. It was very cool to hear people’s stories and show God’s love to them, through words but also just through our actions. We loved being able to partner with CFN and this community.

God’s Love & Why We Should Love Others

by Reagan Norman | March 21, 2024 9:58 AM

After playing for a while, a leader from the community shared the gospel in a way that was so clear and powerful to the kids. He talked about God’s love and why it’s so important that we share God’s love in the communities we live in. After all the children listened to him speak, we prayed and passed out pizza. The kids were so grateful and excited! God’s love is so powerful and we are so thankful that it is something that we get to experience every day!
