We're here! by Emily Morley | July 9, 2016 6:27 PM
After a day of travel, we are happy to be in the nice Bahamian weather! Our neighbors and the community children have already proven themselves to be very friendly. Their excitement to meet us makes us eager to start sports and VBS this week.
Just hanging around by Emily Morley | July 10, 2016 9:29 PM
During our scouting trip to the park we will use for VBS we took a break to just chill in the hot Bahamian sun. The park will be great for games and even has a shady spot for worship and crafts!
Bahama Sunday by Emily Morley | July 10, 2016 9:36 PM
Today, we got to experience real life on the island. We adapted to island time, visited a convenience store for more water, and attended a Haitian church service. Church here is very different from church back home! It was great to meet more of the church families and kids that will be at VBS and sports camp this week. At sunset, we took advantage of the cooler weather and played basketball with some of the local boys. They are really good! We are excited to get to know them more throughout the week.
Invitations by Emily Morley | July 11, 2016 10:03 PM

VBS day 1by Emily Morley | July 11, 2016 10:18 PM
Today at VBS we taught a lesson about the rich young ruler. Then, we played ships across the ocean with noodles and made salvation bracelets while finishing our snacks. It was great to see how involved the kids were and talk to them about Jesus!
Neighborhood Friendsby Emily Morley | July 12, 2016 5:58 AM
It seems like there are always friends around who want to play!
Gniep Hunting by Emily Morley | July 12, 2016 8:58 PM
We discovered this new fruit! Sometimes it's sweet, sometimes it's sour. There are hundreds of them and have been one of our go-to snacks (along with fresh mangos)
Worship in Actionby Emily Morley | July 12, 2016 9:01 PM
Enjoying worship during VBS!
Moments in Prayerby Emily Morley | July 12, 2016 9:07 PM
Today, we all were challenged to share our testimonies and the gospel with at least one person. We handed out a handful of Bibles and were able to pray with a lot of people. Some of the guys we've been hanging with the last couple days have been really open to prayer and hearing about Jesus. It's amazing to see how God is moving in this neighborhood!
Dinner on the Beachby Emily Morley | July 12, 2016 9:11 PM
It was nice to have a little time to cool off in the ocean tonight!
A Sea-riously Great Day by Emily Morley | July 12, 2016 9:52 PM
Hey everyone it's Anna and Natalie! We started the day off by playing basketball at the park with some kids. We then had another successful VBS day with the kids and a lesson from Daniel Fenske about Jonah and the Whale. After that we played soccer and made stain glass crosses. Later, we went to Junkanoo Beach and ate at a beach grill! We came back to the church and played more basketball! Today our challenge was to share our testimonies with at least one person in the community! Natalie and I had a cool experience sharing our testimonies with one lady who's son is in jail. She has been praying and going to church for her son and we got the chance to pray for her and her son!
P. S. I ate at least 4 servings of rice for lunch! ~Anna

We made crowns during our VBS craft time today!
The little things by Emily Morley | July 13, 2016 10:16 PM
It isn't always about teaching a Bible story or leading crafts. Sometimes, showing the love of Christ means tying shoes :)
Nathan's Story Timeby Emily Morley | July 13, 2016 10:19 PM
Nathan shared the story of David and Goliath during VBS today. He even got the kids engaged by acting it out!
Jesus Saves! by Emily Morley | July 13, 2016 10:26 PM
Today was our last day of VBS. While we are sad to see it end, we know we have made an impact for Christ. Many kids came to know Jesus, some for the first time, through the stories, puppet shows, crafts, and games. We hope the seeds we have planted will continue to grow and these kids will continue following Jesus. We will forever cherish the memories we made with these kids this week!
Rain - part oneby Emily Morley | July 13, 2016 10:32 PM
Sometimes the rainbow comes before the storm! When it rains in the Bahamas everything cools down. We were looking forward to it tonight after a full day of ministry.
Rain - part twoby Emily Morley | July 13, 2016 10:38 PM
With just a short time-out from basketball we couldn't pass up the opportunity to splash in the rain!
Rain - part three by Emily Morley | July 13, 2016 10:45 PM
After the short storm we didn't let damp courts stop us from playing! Our sports ministry continued on and we had a great time putting up tres like Steph Curry (or insert other favorite here) with the guys our age in the community.
Time Flies - part one by Emily Morley | July 14, 2016 9:24 PM
Today was our recreation day! We spent the day at Blue Lagoon. We had fun swimming and laying in the hammocks on the beach. Later in the day, we met up with another PPM team for dinner on Jaws Beach (where they filmed part of the movie)!
Time Flies - part twoby Emily Morley | July 14, 2016 9:34 PM
At Jaws Beach we got to watch the sun set over the ocean. We also saw a sting ray! We had fun jumping off the dock and looking for seashells.
We are so grateful that we got to spend the week here in the Bahamas. It was great getting to know the kids and families in the community. Although we will miss them a lot, we will always have the memories of how God has worked here this week.
A Beautiful Ending by Emily Morley | July 16, 2016 8:13 AM
The trip is over and we are safely back home in Minnesota. This is really just the beginning, though. God calls us to live every day for Him. Our mission as Christians is still in process. We are excited to see how God can use us in our own community!
