Community Evangelical Church

The team made the six hour hike up to Massachusetts today and got acquainted with the church and some of the church's staff! They played games, had two orientation sessions, and are now showering/having free time before lights out! We are excited for a week of missions, building relationships, and having fun! 

Today was a busy day! We enjoyed Sunday school and church this morning, and then did a bunch of preparation for the basketball clinic this week! Then tonight we spent time with the youth, building relationships, playing games, and hearing a great message from one of the church's youth interns. Tomorrow is our first day of basketball clinic and it is supposed to be around 100 degrees outside so please pray for our health and strength! 

Yesterday was our first day of basketball clinic! We taught some children from the church and a lot of children from the community about basketball, and Jesus! Although it was hot, it was incredibly fun and rewarding to see the smiles. After that, we explored the small beach town of Rockport, Massachusetts.
