First Baptist Church Richmond

It was a joy to see First Baptist coming through the doors at the airport. I can tell it's going to be a great week as we see those bright smiles coming out. It's my first time working with this team and I am just excited to see what God has in store for us the week.

We were all excited to visit the local church on this Resurrection Sunday and to hear what God had for each of us, through his manservant, Evangelist Dave Messado. He presented a very inspiring sermon.  Nuggets:  Jesus was born in a borrowed stable, He rode into Jerusalem on a borrowed donkey, He preached the gospel from a borrowed boat and He was buried in a borrowed tomb...

Today we prepped for painting, painted the walls on the outside of the building and did some construction work on the perimeter fence at the Sherwood Content Early Childhood institution in Waldensia.  See pictures below:

Today was our first day of VBS at the Waldensia Baptist Church.  We focused on the Creation Story.   Some lively interactive songs were sung.  The kids did the actions beautifully, after which prayer was offered by Zack. See pic below:

They repeated the memory verse taught earlier.  For all things were created by God, through God and for God.

The kids were delighted to be engaged in doing crafts related to the Creation Story.  These circles represent the seven days of creation.

Mission accomplished... We have completed the painting of the Sherwood Content Early Childhood Institution, both inside and out.  Kudos to a very hardworking team.

LeeAnn did an illustration of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.  Not three persons but, Three in One.

This is our final day in Jamaica and we got to go shopping, went to the beach and experience some mouthwatering jerk pork and jerk chicken at the famous jerk center in Coral Garden 'Scotchies'. Yummy!!
