A Wonderful Day by Almando Jean Louis | November 28, 2014 6:59 PM
After we arrived yesterday, we headed right to One Family Orphanage where we settled in for the night. We woke up this morning ready to go! The kids were ready for us too! From bracelet making to golf "camp" to just playing, we were definitely busy all day. Some of us even got to show off our painting skills.
Around 3, we wrapped up our time there and headed across town to our hotel in Carrefour. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and had a short meeting. Now, we are looking forward to a good night of rest before we head to Good Shepherd Orphanage tomorrow morning.
We are excIted to see what God has in store for us.
Loving on Kidsby Cassandra Jean Louis | November 29, 2014 6:09 PM
This morning, we spent the morning getting a tour of Good Shepherd Orphanage, meeting its leadership, and loving on the kids there. The kids loved the rubber band bracelets and playing games with us.
Welcome Children!by Cassandra Jean Louis | November 29, 2014 6:17 PM
Kids poured into the orphanage grounds for kids club this afternoon! We welcomed them with open arms. They were very energetic and excited to see us. We spent all afternoon playing games and holding babies.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable, but tiring day. We know God is using us here and we are seeing more of what He is doing in this beautiful country.
Worship and the Wordby Cassandra Jean Louis | November 30, 2014 1:23 PM
This morning we had the pleasure of worshiping with our brothers and sisters here in Haiti. We enjoyed the music, the passion, and the transparency of the Haitians. Some of the boys from the orphanage even shared a couple of special songs. We recognized a some songs too. A young lady sang the french version of "Hosanna" and we closed the service with "There is Power in the Blood."
Tim had the opportunity to preach a message that was well received by everyone in the congregation. We truly enjoyed our time at church this morning and continue to look forward to what God has for us in the next couple of days!
Sunday afternoonby Cassandra Jean Louis | December 2, 2014 6:57 AM
After church, we went back to the hotel and rested for a couple of hours after lunch. At 2:00, we headed to Ashca, a handicap home, located just a minute form Good Shepherd Orphanage. We had a great time with the people there. We were inspired by the of the director, who is also a handicap man with no hands and feet. We can not be thankful enough for that experience we have had at that place. Once again, we were reminded not to take our daily blessings for granted. The needs are great at Ashca and we are hoping to partner with them, supporting them on a long run.
