All four teams arrived safely in Haiti!

Our Praying Pelican office received a call from one of the trip leaders in Haiti letting us know that although internet is down, the teams are doing great and ministry is going really well! Praise God! As soon as internet is up and running, there will be a more detailed entry of how the trip is going. So far....

Yesterday was a time of worship and fellowship at the church service in the morning. In the afternoon, they all went to an orphanage to shower God's love onto the little ones.

Please pray for plenty of STRENGTH and ENERGY today as they begin the building projects that they will be working on throughout the rest of the trip.

Praise God that everyone is healthy and working hard to bring light to the country of Haiti!

Yesterday our group went to a children’s home nearby. We played cards and a game of soccer. We passed out coloring books to all the kids and dolls too! They were so thrilled.

We are encountering some challenges. The electricity has been off and on. Internet is not reliable. There was a big rainstorm last night. Some trees were down in the road. We picked up some temporary structures so that the children could have school this morning.

Our groups are working hard on a number of projects in the area. We are finishing pouring concrete, digging a foundation, working to build a school, sifting sand, laying concrete blocks.

It’s incredible how this experience has touched us already. There are so many needs here. It is such a blessing to be part of the rebuilding here. Thank you for your prayers for our team and for the people of Haiti.
